Meeting Highlights

• The lag was pleased to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Ole Gamme of Hadeland, Norway to the meeting!

• Norma Gilbertson, our representative for 7 Lag Stevne (National Stevner Inc) reported on planning for the 2004 Stevne and reminded us that we will be responsible for planning the 2006 Stevne.

• Dean Sorum reported on the options for seeking non-profit status with the IRS and the membership agreed that we should seek tax-free status under tax code section 501.C10.  Dean, Ron Ulven and Delores Cleveland will work on this project and report at the July stevne membership meeting.

• The membership chairman was formally added to the board.  Carol Sorum was elected to the board position after doing the actual work of the membership chairman for many years.

• Marvin and Ardis Witte presented music and narration of "Music in Memory of Edvard Grieg"

• After lunch, Lag members visited the Franciscan Convent, high on a hill in Rochester.  This provided an outstanding view of the cityscape and surrounding countryside
